The launcher costs nothing, for anyone: no account, no unlocking, no tiers. Anyone who wants to back the project anyway will find the ways on the home page; no feature depends on it.

Questions about the DZSS Launcher

Do I need the DZSS Launcher to run a DayZ server?

No. The launcher is meant for players, not for server owners. To run your own servers you need DZSS Server Studio; the launcher is a separate program alongside it.

What does the DZSS Launcher cost?

Nothing. The launcher is free, for everyone, without an account and without any unlocking. Anyone who wants to back the project can do so voluntarily; no feature depends on it.

Does the launcher replace the official DayZ launcher?

It sits alongside it. The DZSS Launcher handles searching, filtering and joining together with the right mods; the game itself still starts through Steam.
